This 10,000 square foot Scottish Georgian home is a contemporary realization of the 16th century Palladian ideal.

Using a five-part composition, with the proportions of the central two-story body of the house in a double square, two hipped-roofed wings are connected to the central mass with shallow, arcaded galleries. Stucco is scored to look like stone blocks that contrast with the brick quoins and belt course. The home also features cut stone window lintels and an ashlar stone foundation.
Based on Historical American Building Survey drawings, the classical elements continue inside where every interior detail was drawn to fit the home's design. Remarkably, the home boasts 21st century technology such as geothermal heating, wireless Internet, an invisible in-wall stereo system and state-of-the-art appliances, all discreetly "hidden" to minimize the visual disruption.
